What's the difference bewteen the Viewer and the Encore Pro?

Post by SleepIsHell » Sat May 10, 2008 5:43 pm

I realize that I have the Viewer software, and not the Encore Pro.

Is there a difference between the two that I should get the Encore Pro?

It's rare to find a copy of Encore Pro available legally anywhere anymore. The main difference from what I've been told about Pro vs Viewer is that Viewer doesn't store to a database whereas Pro does... this means that you can't use Encore Pro Analyzer with Viewer.

What is the Encore Pro Analyzer?

The Viewer software that I have seesm to show a lot of information, and data, graphs. Am I missing something that I need?

One thing that I dislike about the Viewer is that I can't save the File to Hard Disk. I can only print it out. I wish I could save it on a file so I could keep all my records.

If you get adobe acrobat (not just the reader, the full software) you can print to adobe .pdf files. This would at least enable you to store them as files.

And if you use Google, I'm sure you can find a free alternative to adobe acrobat which can be a bit pricey.

When I tried to print it out as a "test.pdf", It does not work.
What file type are we supposed to print it out as?

My DME has PRO and they print off the exact same charts and details.

Hey folks,Viewer apparently does everything that Pro does from my understanding. I believe with PRO you can program your CPAP on the smartcard instead of doing the changes on the LCD panel.

I have viewer it's great. I also use PRIMO PDF software it's free. To use it in viewer you hit the "print" button and choose Primo pdf and you can save it as a pdf file through the print function.
