Resp Mseries auto Cflex Compliance check 10281: what is it?

Post by pcisuser » Thu May 01, 2008 10:43 am

Hi

I just have my Resp Mseries Auto CPAPCflex repaired and the menu display has been changed.

I used to be able to see the Apnea index number (AHI??) from this machine but now the information seems to be hidden under some kind of compliance coding scheme. The compliance code 10281 is what I can see from the machine.

Could someone help me on this? The Apnea index is perhaps the most critical info for me and I can no longer see it. They must have updated the firmware inside it.

The info I get from the machine after having used it for 3 nights:

Therapy usage 7 day ave: 4.42 hrs/night
session > 4 : 7 days: 1 session (same for 30days)
90% pressure: 10.1 (same for 30days)
Compliance code: 10281

Summary data:
therapy hrs 15.7
Blower hours: 18.5

Total sessions: 2

By the way, I know that my unit is a CPAP with auto Cflex. However, the label on the blower uint says:
Mseries Remstar BIPAP, Model 500M

My question: I believe there is a difference between an auto Cflex and a real BIPAP. If so, why is this unit labeled as RemStar BiPap ?

Thanks a lot for your help in advance.

Two guy meet in the street.

"Hey, Joe! I haven't seen you in a million years! Boy, have you changed - when did you get those glasses, huh?

"Uh...always had them"

"And, Joe, you really gained weight, haven't you?"

"No I was always..."

"Lost most of you hair too, Joe, happens to all of us. And grown a beard. To compensate, what?"

"No I've had that beard since I was 20".

"Cummon Joe, who're you kidding, you had no beard at 20, Joe."

"I'm not Joe, I'm Matt!"

"Joe, you ever changed your name????"

Unplug the machine from the power from the back of the unit. Open the window where the data is displayed. Hold down the 2 arrow buttons at the same time and as u do this plug the cord back into the machine. Keep holding until you hear 2 beeps. You can then release the bottons and wait until the machine displays a pic of a unlock. Hit the botton beside the set-up and then you can rotate thru the set up data and set it how you want. To erase the days data if you desire, with the unlocked setting, go to the therepy screen and hold down the minus botton and takes about 5 seconds and machine will reset.

bap40, thanks for the reply.

However, The info you provided is the the procedure to enter the Technician Setup mode. What I would like to know is to be able to see the "Apnea Index display" that used to be available on the screen. Apparently, after the repair, the display content has been changed a little (due to new firmware?).

Gone is the sleep apnea index. New is the "compliance code" that I hope someone here can help answer.

Thanks a lot in advance.

Can't be the same machine. It's not Joe. It's Matt.
