Live chat frustration
Live chat frustration
I was trying to participate in the live chat and kept getting a computer message that said, "A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Script player to run slowly. It it continues to run, your computer will become nonresponsive." Then my computer became nonresponsive, meaning that I could not post or read postings. Sorry -- everyone was really welcoming and I felt so rude not being able to respond. If anyone has any suggestions about what the problem is or how to deal with it, I would like to join a live chat in the near future.
FlashPlayer
DrDroopy,
I guess Flash Player has to be properly installed to use chat. You can download it from here:

I hope this helps.

Re: Live chat frustration
You either have an older computer or an old version of Macromedia. Try downloading the latest version of macromedia flash player.DrDroopy wrote:I was trying to participate in the live chat and kept getting a computer message that said, "A script in this movie is causing Macromedia Script player to run slowly. Another thing that could be happening is that you are having a problem with the flash cookies. you can clear them by going to this link:

Thanks for the help. I was actually able to resolve the problem eventually last night by the time honored method of shutting down my computer and restarting. It was a fun chat. But I am also going to make sure that I have the most up-to-date flash player and yes, it is an old machine by computer standards - a Toshiba laptop from 2000, loaded with windows 98. THanks all!
