Can You Calculate Your Age by How Often You Eat Out?

Can You Calculate Your Age by How Often You Eat Out?

Is it possible to calculate your age by how often you enjoy eating out? Get ready for a mathematical mind-bender– and don't cheat by scrolling down first!

This takes less than a minute. Work it out as you read, either in your head or on a piece of paper. But be sure you don't read the bottom until you've worked it out!

1. First of all, pick the number of times a week that you would like to go out to eat (more than once but less than 10 times)
2. Multiply this number by 2 (just to be bold)
3. Add 5
4. Multiply it by 50
5. If you have already had your birthday this year add 1758 ... If you haven't, add 1757.
6. Now subtract the four digit year that you were born.

You should now have a three digit number. The first digit of this was your original number, (i.e., how many times you want to go out to restaurants in a week).

The next two numbers are:

YOUR AGE! (Oh YES, it is!)

It worked, but my head hurts just trying to figure out why!

Sorry.....I couldn't get past the first criteria......I don't like to go out to eat.

But, I did the math by starting out with 0 and got a 2-digit number......which ended up being my age.

Taking 5 and multiplying it by 50 and adding 1757 (since my next birthday is a few of months away) gives you 2007 (last year) and then by subtracting your birth year naturally would be your age.

Now my head hurts because I read the reason why it worked!

Yeah, they just needed a math computation that came up with either last year or this year from which to subtract your birthday and logically come up with your age.

Oh, well......

I don't like to eat out ,either, and the charts don't get as old as me. So I didn't bother with the math.

It doesn't work for me because my wife and I eat out about 14 times a week...

Interesting math though.

2x
2x+5
50 * (2x+5) = 100x + 250
100x + 250 + 1758 = 100x + 2008
100x + 2007 - birthyear = 100x + age

100x simply moves over the number of times you eat to the third digit

The methodology appears very similar to the so-called tax cuts ... the older we get the more tax cuts we get and the more taxes we end up paying.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

I didn't bother to do the math. I eat out minimum 14 times a week, sometimes more, and my PCP says I have the body of an 87 yo woman.

Hey, I'm not giving her back NOW! She's perfectly happy living in my trunk... Call it Mobile Assisted Living...

LOL,

Babs,

Various people in my office carefully came to my office to see if I was ok when I just hooted with laughter over your post. You truly just crack me up.

But .... what's a PCP?

France

ps I also eat out at least 14 times a week and I'm sure I also have the body of an 87 year old (don't tell my husband).
