Cleaning S-8 humidifier

Post by DonG » Tue Mar 11, 2008 10:04 am

I found the easiest way to clean the s-8 is to put in a cup of ground ice chips and two tablespoons of salt, plug the holes with the yellow stopper provided and shake for about a minute or so. It will be clean as new.

I have been using red wine vinegar but I will give your tip a try.

I put two tablespoons of red wine vinegar into the humidifier tank. Swish it around and let soak a few minutes. Then fill to the top with clean water and dump out about three or four times. It is then clean as new.

Use distilled H2O

Post by Capri » Tue Mar 11, 2008 6:00 pm

Always use distilled H2O. It will keep your reservoir clean and shiny. You spend nearly $2 for a 16 oz. bottle of drinking water. Good grief, spend .99 cents for a gallon of distilled water.
