S8 filter replacement interval?

Post by hobbs » Mon Mar 03, 2008 7:29 pm

Getting a new S8 AutoSet and wondering how often most people replace their filter? My old machine had both washable foam and micro filter as opposed to the single filter on the S8.

Look in your Users Manual. Mine says "every six months or as needed". I find it best to check the filter once a month as we have long haired dogs and cats. And sandy soil.

Agree with Slinky....although the manual for the Vantage says inspect every month, and replace every 6 months, I replace mine every month. During much of the year I have windows open in the bedroom, and the filter is visibly darkened with dust and pollen after 5 to 6 weeks , hence my monthly replacement. The S-8 Vantage does not have a washable filter, only the replaceable one that looks a bit like furnace filter material.
