Hey ahujudybear - masks do have a warranty from the manufacturer that should allow replacement for issues that happen in normal wear that are unusual. My first mask was a comfort gel which was replaced twice under manufacturer warranty. The plastic was cracking around the gel cushion and I was doing nothing unusual. Perhaps mty DME was the key to my getting warranty service - not sure if I would have gotten warranty service if I went direct to the mfg or over the internet - but at least my dme handled it, said it was warranty, and also indicated the place of breakage was a common trend on this mask.

The breakage was a common trend... and they were still selling it to people???

Wonder how many folks just chalked it up to something they had done?

Gotta wonder....

I am in the same delimnea with a non fitting HR mask. Yes you read right I have my HR now and I would really love it, if not for the fact my DME never measured my face and this is very crucial for the HR.

I have been in touch with the HR people and they told me, that I should take this whole corresondence to the DME and let him know that the kask is way to big and that, they should take th eHR back, Measure me for the right size.

WOW!!!

While I was at the DME yesterday, I asked someone about the Mirage Ultra FF mask. They said it was $240.++. I told them I had seen it here for $139 and she said that they couldn't even BUY them for that cheap. (She also said that this price probably did not include head gear, which wasn't true.)

I'll have to talk with my RT when she get back in town.

That's quite a difference. How can I be sure they are the same product?

Does the customer pay for shipping from cpap.com (once we received the mask) to the Manufacturer?
Are you saying that if someone under the "Mask Protection Plan" (I like that idea, btw) returned a mask to cpap.com, cpap.com would in turn send the mask back to the manufacturer??? Why would you (cpap.com) bother to send returned masks back to Respironics, ResMed, Puritan Bennett, et al, unless you were going to be reimbursed something by the manufacturer? We're not talking about cpap.com returning defective products to the manufacturer...just a perfectly good mask that the "protection plan" user chose to send back to cpap.com.
I don't believe they would send back a returned mask to a supplier without compensation for no reason at all. What good would that do? I would prefer to give it to someone first and let them disinfect it. I also agree that the manufacturers should back their merchandise. I know they have a profit margin big enough to cover returns. Evidently someone does at their cost.

I have found the Hans Rudolph online for a price of 225.00 not sure if the head gear is included or not.

I purchased my HR for $188.64.
