A New Milestone Reached
A New Milestone Reached
Just got back from the Sleep Center and downloaded my data off my card there - my reader hasn't arrived yet from HongKong - and last night I reached a milestone! I recorded an AHI index of 1.0. My best by far to date (albeit, I haven't been doing this that long). But last night was easily my best.
Hmm, was there some causative factor involved? I can't say for certain but...last night was the first night I used Padacheek's Strap Cushions! Thanks Karen!
Anyhow I just wanted to share my success.

CONGRATS!!! Doesn't it feel great to know that you CAN do it!?! I wish you many more nights of low AHI!

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

Thank you all for the warm wishes and regards!
It would not have been possible to hit those numbers without the wonderful advice and information present here on this board from it's members. My eternal gratitude for all of your encouragement and assistance.
Truthfully, I am certain there are many out there that are struggling mightily to cope with their own situation in dealing with becoming a "hose head". To those that are, I encourage you - read the collective wisdom, ask questions, stay committed, and be persistent. Your health and well-being depends upon it.

Congratulations on getting there!!
Don't you wish we could shout from the rooftops about cpaptalk.com to those that do not know about this forum? I wonder how many more success we would hear and how many fewer xpaps would be sitting in the closet.
Of course we are probably a rare bunch as we are so proactive. I told a friend at work about cpaptalk.com as he is on cpap and he stated he was doing just fine. Didn't know the machine he was using, the name of his mask, nothing. I was shocked that he wasn't more involved. He is probably in the majority and we are a minority if the truth be told.
