Hey Babs

You could probably glue them to the cannula but covering the vents then route those tiny tubes where ever you like

I could not get any glue to stick to the canulla, at least for very long!

Babs
I had trouble logging in with Firefox but had no trouble with Internet Explorer. My firefox just upgraded so it may work better now. I do not know what browser you use but if you use firefox and cannot login you could try Internet Explorer.

Thanks Gene! It's a blocking filter that my employer has set up that keeps me from being able to log in.

Hey Jerry, wouldn't a silicone adhesive work? Particularly one for Marine applications? Like this stuff?

I dont know Babs. I tried regular silicone adhesive/caulk from Lowes and it pealed off. I will look at it further! Maybe there is one that might stick!

What about the outgassing of the sealant? I wouldn't think that would be good!!

Is there anyway to possibly seal the vent holes with a hot needle and then redo them elsewhere?

Yeah, we discussed that earlier. Outgassing, I mean. How could it be worse than your husband, Carol?

Sorry, couldn't resist...

Jerry's going to try the hot needle trick on a cannula that he can "spare". I'd send you one, Jerry, but mine are all out on loan right now to another forum member.

Anyone got a cannula they want to sacrifice to Jerry's experiment?

I have one, but it is not a Nasal Aire II. I will gladly sacrifice it. I'm sure glueing and trying to re-do the holes would work just fine on it for an experiment.

I have that arm issue, too. Especially now when it's so cold!!!

My biggest fidgeting right now is getting burrowed down sufficiently in my covers to make me happy, and still finding a way to vent without it either being blocked by the covers, or blowing on a body part that finds it cold. I usually figure it out.

Cheers,
Babs
Things are well. I've been watching the boards, just seems not anything that really needs me to post on. I did catch the posts a bit late about you being sick so how are you doing now?

OK, I am going to give it a try. I have 3 or 4 Extra Smalls that no one seems to be able to wear. I use the small but I think I can modify a Extra small and tell enough to see if it will work. Will let you know.

I thought AllergyRidden wanted an Extra Small? But if you have SEVERAL.... Sounds like the Sacrificial Cannula to ME!

Christy, I'm doing MUCH BETTER, than you very much! Voice is still sort of randomly hoarse, and I still have a random tickle in my throat, but I can SLEEP and BREATHE, and am much perkier.

Someone asked why I wasn't posting much lately - me TOO! Not much to talk about. Plus other forums are drawing my attention. After all, Hoopskirts are so much more fun to talk about than CPAP machines.

LOL,
Babs

Yea, your right Babs but he isn't home much due to his work schedule -- he is in Texas now so the odor has somewhat left

Oh Jerry -- it isn't fair you have such a tiny nose here I am stuck with my nose!!! I can't imagine anyone wearing the smalls as they are so little compared to the mp and large!!!!

Good luck on the experiment!!!

No no! Go right ahead and destroy one! I don't know anyone else who wants one. McKooi took the Nasal Aire Petite off me for his daughter, but that's not the same as an NAII XS.

Cheers,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)
