Restless legs along with Cpap
I am getting really achey restless legs of late, they actually hurt and while I sleep and after a strong dose of Mirapex, they relax but I am getting them during the day now. I had my annual checkup today and he did say that I am getting symptoms of type two diabetes and did the blood work which I will get results of next week. Question is for those whom have the same thing is have you found anything to relieve these aches generally and especially waiting for the Mirapex or what ever you take to take effect?

Have you tried quinine for this? Almost everyone with Post-polio has RLS (due to nerve damage). We have found that either getting an Rx for low doses of quinine or drinking tonic water will help to alleviate this.
And it isn't just our legs: arms, facial muscles, side muscles, back - anywhere there is a muscle that is being used more than it can easily handle.

rock and roll, what is the prescribed method for you to take your Mirapex?
I was on Requip but after a while it would not hold me during the day.
I am now on Mirapex .25g 2 pillsAM, 1 pill 4:00pm and 2 pills at bedtime.
You may want to call and talk to your docotr again and tell him/her what is going on.

Quinine did nothing for me at all. As far as iron, I am on supplements that give me all the B vitamins. Having Crohns and the enemia that comes with that require this.
Restless legs you would know, it is the intense feeling of having to move and stretch your legs and they have an ache that does not go away. Will have you moving all night long.
My Mirapex is one in the morning and one with dinner and one at bedtime. They do help a lot and let me sleep now but I develope the bad ache is seems between the dinner and bedtime dose.

I've had problems with RLS - not when going to sleep (probably cuz I fall asleep so quickly), but when sitting still while very tired. I did some research, and now take a cocktail of three vitamins - calcium, vitamin E, and folic acid. The first two many women take anyway. Since taking these vitamins, my RSL is almost gone. I just get mild cases of it every once in a while.
It works like magic.
I'll post again when I find the article and its recommendations.

I feel no ache or need to move my legs. However, my wife tells me that I move my legs quite forcefully while I sleep.

Seat cushion and supplemental iron and magnesium helped me
I was having restless legs along with a sensation of nervous tension, like ants crawling up and down my legs. Once I began using a seat cushion (gel pad from TA Truck stop) and supplemental iron and magnesium (straight off Wal-Mart shelf), I no longer have this problem. Be careful using the supplements because they have side effects of constipation and diarhea, respectively; but it's worth getting used to while ridding oneself from the nervous legs. I suspect you know what I mean, if you're suffering the symptoms.
Oh, by the way, it seems to me calcium deficiency contributes to the sensation, as well.

I had the same problem. Docs didn't have a clue. Then, A trainer at the gym commented on my flat feet. Seems that most of my pains were associated with this. Flat feet caused ankles to roll in , kneecaps to roll out. I got me some arch supports and I do the hot tub and stretching daily and the pain is gone. My hamstrings were tight ! Miss a day and its payback. I even put arch supports in my slippers.

The set cushion is for sitting
ahujudybear...
In my case, the nerves in my posterior and upper legs are pinched while sitting a majority of a day in the driver seat of an 18-wheeler. The gel pad seat cushion removes the pinching and actually provides a limited massaging for immediate relief.
You might want to give it a try, even if you don't suffer from RLS.
