Question about the air flow in UMFF and Quattro...
I am getting to where I cant stand using my UMFF, I can feel the air blowing against my lower lip.
I am up for a new mask in Jan. and am considering the Quattro, only if it does not blow air like the other one. For the Quattro users: Can you feel the air blowing against your face or lower lip?

I was talking about the Ultra Mirage Full Face mask, not the Activa... I love the Active nasal mask....jsmythe wrote:I am getting to where I cant stand using my UMFF, I can feel the air blowing against my lower lip.

[quote="sburke91"]I have a Quattro and a Respironics Confort Gel. I honestly feel less airflow (inside the mask) wtih the Quattro.

Super-Quiet!
I love the Quattro because it is SO quiet, even at 20cm! Unfortunately, it just doesn't seem to hold a seal above 15 or so. The vent is at the top, and it has lots of tiny holes that diffuse the air. You barely notice the air from the vent, and did I mention that it was quiet? The Activa is definitely my favorite mask, but I do hate the jet-stream of air that comes out of the vent. It is loud and irritating, no matter which way you aim the hose. As far as venting goes, the Activa and the Quattro are like night and day.

Hmmm.....
I don't notice it at all. However, the Quattro is the only FF mask I have ever tried, so I don't have anything else to compare it to. I just can't get the Quattro to seal around my cheeks at high pressure. I hope I can get it to work because I really like everything else about it.
Why can't they figure out how to make a full-face Activa???? We have the technology to put a man on the moon, and they can't make us a full-face Activa? Come on, Resmed. Really.

heated hose?
Is the issue air blowing around inside the mask or COLD air blowing around inside the mask? I found when I added the heated hose the air went from being cold to being pleasantly warm. That won't help if the issue is air of any temperature blowing around and hitting your lip.
My Quattro is on order so can't yet comment on your direct question. I also would love to get a full face activa.

Thanks RipVW, that is exactly what I was wondering about. For some strange reason I find it difficult to breathe when I feel the air hitting my face. I was hoping the Quattro may not be as bad. I have a Hybrid....man oh man,,, just can't get the hang of that one!! Will be playing with that one for a very long time to get it to work!!RipVW wrote:Joyce, I have both the UMFF & the Quattro--I think they are about the same in that regard. Probably pretty much that way for all FF masks--the air entering the FF mask is coming in & hitting everywhere within the mask enclosure, lips, nose . . .
