need some help

Post by williexwhip » Thu Dec 27, 2007 10:53 pm

ok so i finally fell all the way asleep with the bipap on with no problem. i was really really tired so im sure thats why, but anyways. well in the morning i got a call on my cell, i just looked to see who it was, then rolled back over to sleep, but i noticed i didn't have the mask on. i look beside me and its laying on my bed, and it was still on lol. sucks that i finally do it, and yet i don't. i have no idea when it came off, how it came off, or why. it was strapped on tight, and the straps were still on it when i woke up. what i want to know is, how did it come off lol, and how can i keep that from happening in the future?

ok second problem, i am a stomach sleeper. always have been, its pretty hard for me to fall asleep on my side, which is part of the reason its taken me so long to use the bipap. i tried sleeping on my stomach with it on, but it moves around, and the pillow plugs the holes, and its just not pretty. plus i dont think your supposed too lol. any help on that?

pretty difficult sleeping on your stomach wearing a mask. Mask most likely came off "over" your head especially if the hose was routed overhead.

You might check the programming and enable the "mask alert" feature, that will let you know when you remove the mask.

While it is difficult to sleep on your stomach wearing the mask, you should have fewer events doing so.

maybe you need one of those massage tables from Costco, they have a hole for your face you could bring the hose up from underneath

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

There are those in this forum who are successful CPAP tummy sleepers. To better gain their attention and faster, why not start a new post w/a subject such as "Tummy Sleeping" or "Tummy Sleepers, Help"?
