Hi fellow Tennessean (E. Tenn here), and welcome to the board!
20 years on "cpap", eh? Can only imagine how those first masks were!
You have a good bilevel machine listed in your profile. Very comfortable kind of treatment.
What IPAP/EPAP are you using?

I just got the results from my first sleep study
Hi, just joined this site after finding out I have sleep apnea. I was told I have over 60 episodes per hour, and from what I read, it sounds pretty severe. I am scheduled for my next study with the CPAP next week. How quickly does one expect to see positive results from this treatment. What machines are recommended? I have so many questions....Help!!

Yes, an AHI or RDI of 60 lands you firmly in the "severe" category. You have plenty of company there.Guest wrote:Hi, just joined this site after finding out I have sleep apnea. I read the entire 35 pages, I also read the seven stages. I was blown away with the accuracy of the text, I was almost brought to tears with the fact that after so many years of suffering, I have an answer. The get smart fast article was excellent, and I look forward to continuing my education of this uncharted teritory.
Thank you so much for your assistance.
New Mask and Provigil
Ok this is in regards to my last post. I finally got my mirage liberty mask today. I went Apria yesterday they fitted me with a demo because the tech said the mask was still so new they had none in stock, 1 day turn around that's one in their favor, but the tech I had I can’t really say the same for in and out in about 10 min. I can’t wait to try it though it has been 5 years since I used a FFM and I am hoping it really helps to relive all the day time sleepiness. I have been taking the provigil 200 mg once a day for a week and I think it is staring to help but still have a few periods of day time trouble. I will check back in a week or so and let everyone know how it is working. My pressures are 20/16 bipap.
Wish me luck
