Post by AEzzo » Tue Dec 04, 2007 6:35 pm

Where can I buy the Pro software? I have only been able to find the viewer software.

Respronics pulled Encore Pro and it is no longer available to be sold to the patient (end user). Has become very hard to find. The reason it was pulled was that you could change the perscription in the program and it would change the settings in your machine. Encore Viewer was written for the end user. It gives the same information but won't let you change settings. It won't let you erase the card eather but that can be done with a utility program that can be downloaded at mycpap.org.

There's no need to try to find Encore Pro. As 6PtStar said, EncoreViewer gives the same information Encore Pro does. Same graphs, same charts, same detailed data. EncoreViewer is readily available for sale to Respironics cpap/bipap/autopap users.

Since all settings, including the pressure settings, can be changed right on the machines, we don't really need a feature in the software to do that.

Since the settings can be changed right on the machine - without the software - I doubt that is THE reason, but who knows.

That DME guy who pre-tended to know why in another post - never did answer. You know the one telling everyone to STOP - doing what he was getting paid to do?

Pro was never "pulled" from anything or anyone. Situations where it was being sold to patients inappropriately and outside of its clearly-stated intent were simply remedied. Pro was designed for Providers and healthcare professionals as a business database solution. Period. The usage reports are what end-users seek in order to monitor their therapy. Cognizant of this, that's why EncoreViewer was designed released.

I agree with the Guest on every point in that post. Encore Pro was never intended for the xpap users to have. We're fortunate that Respironics was willing to design EncoreViewer for us to buy now.

OK I will revise my wording since it seems to have caused a stur. REVISED STATEMENT: Respronics used the heavy hand approch to force suppliers to comply with their policy of not allowing it to be sold to end users for what ever the reason was. I too am thankful that they brought out Encore Viewer so we can get it with out beating every bush or going out of the country to find it. I just wish they had left the data base so it would work with Jame's Pro Analyzer. OK, you can't have everything. Now if we could get a fix for the "M" firmware and a way to set the clock we would be good to go.

Well, it's impossible to know which "Guest" is which, but your post didn't sound like the usual driveby "GO-to-your-DOCTOR" Guest.

Given what you said now.... hmmmm... are you the NiceDMEdude?

Thought of another possibility. If you're the "other" one I'm thinking of, I haven't seen you innnnnnn awhile.

Well, I shouldn't have asked a "Do you want fries or a baked potato" kind'a question.

Putting my bet on the "yes" meaning NiceDMEDude.
