Help please...

Post by izzyb » Sun Nov 18, 2007 11:06 am

I know this is like beating a dead horse, but I have searched and searched for this information that I am sure is out there, but I can't find it.

I want to clear the therapy information from my display so that I can see my results daily instead of every 7 or 30 days.

Sorry for the repeat, but I just can't find the info.

I have the M Series BiPap by Respironics.

Yes, thank you so much!

If I have already unplugged, etc. to show the therapy menu do I still have to do it again?

And do I have to hold the minus key down for each data screen?[/quote]

I dunno. I don't have an M Series machine......just the instructions.
I would assume that once you're in the therapy menu (#2) you would just follow the rest of the directions.

You only have to hold down the minus (-) key on the Therapy Data screen; don't have to do it for each individual screen. This will reset to zero (0) the Therapy Data Screen, Leak/Vent Screen, AHI numbers, and a few others.

It is not working. Are you talking about the main screen? If I press minus there is takes me to that questionaire thing. If I press the arrow at the top it goes to different screens showing different data on each screen. I have tried pressing the minus key at each of these screens and nothing happens. I probably just don't understand what you are telling me.

Are you actually getting into the "Setup" menu? I just noticed that you have an Auto Bi-PAP, but I would think that the instructions to get into Setup would be the same.

Den, the instructions are the same for the Auto BiPAP.

Izzyb, don't forget that you have to unplug your machine and then plug it in again holding both arrow buttons down to access the Provider menus. Then use the right arrow button to go to the data screens. The first data screen is Therapy Usage. Hold the minus sign down for about 5 seconds and it will clear all of the data on all of the screens.

Just like Den and Pam said!

Yes, I had already done the unplugging, etc. to be able to see my therapy data a while ago. I can view each sceen, but when I press the minus sign it does nothing. I tried it on each screen.

I don't know what to tell you then. I just went and reset mine by following the above instructions and it zeroed out the data after about five seconds. And I have the same machine,,a Respironics M Series Auto BiPAP.

Sorry we aren't able to help; you may have to have your DME check out your machine, something may be wrong with it.

Finally! I thought I wouldn't have to do the unplugging/plugging process after the first time, but you do. I was able to reset to zero after doing that.

Now I have a question about my stats. Here is what it read after one therapy usage:

Leak Rate for 7 day was 4.7
30 day was 38.4

Now since this was for just one session wouldn't both the numbers be the same since there is no other number to average it with?

And how in the world can it ever be 4.7 when the leak rate for my mask is somewhere around 40?

The next night, after resetting to zero again, here are my stats:

Leak rate for 7 day was 18.9
30 day was 38.8

Quite a jump for the "7" day average, but still doesn't seem normal.

What gives? At least my AHI for last night was 2.1.
