Cheap Pillow

I'm just back from LinensNThings. Accidentally found a $10 pillow which might just work.
It's butterfly shaped, so space for shoulder and mask when sleeping on my side.
If you're curious, it's in the Wamsutta section - look for the brightly colored stuff - orange, turquoise, lime green.

A few other pillows that have been recommended, by others on the forum:

PAPillow. While many folks on the forum like this pillow, I have not yet tried it. Rested Gal Laura is one satisfied user. Places where the PAPillow is available are on the site.

Shapeable. Priced at about $12.99-14.99 depending on size: This is sold by Target, filled with polyester that is scrunchable and is a fantastic alternative to down while losing the allergens.

Mediflow. The Mediflow was recommended to me by another forum member and costs about $60 at JCPenney: This is a polyester filled pillow with a water chamber that helps to keep the pillow in place as well as allowing for some flexiblility in cradling the sleeper. The water amount may be adjusted and--it REALLY does NOT leak! Just be sure after filling it with water that there is no water on the pillow. Online, the cheapest price I found was $43.83. or $254.02 for a case of 6. Hmmm...how many people want one?

*Note: I found mine at JCPenney when it was regular price for the first and $0.01 for the second. Since I wanted two, that was the best deal.

I personally use a Mediflow on the bottom with a Shapeable on top. This elevates me enough to keep my shoulders comfortable, as they are osteo-arthritic. However, I can also scrunch the Shapeable to suit my mask, most of the time.

I'll have to check out the butterfly! The cutout may mean it is added onto my pillow pile, as the Liberty seems to be more shiftable than the other masks I have used. Thanks again!

It passed the "sleep test" last night. Worked great.
It isn't washable, but I can make more like it.

I guess I would have to say this sort of fits the thread except that it isn't cheap by a long shot.

The "Oxygen Pillow" from european sleepworks in Berkley CA is a great pillow for people who want really good head and neck support while sleeping.

The pillows come in different thicknesses (and firmness?) to fit your sleeping style, needs and your mattress. Therein lies a real drawback as I see it. They won't ship it to you. You must go to their store and lie down while they measure you. Then they pick the best fit for you. That's a limitation obviously unless you live nearby. That and the cost ($120).

I got one before my CPAP machine and it did help me sleep better. They are latex foam and mine is FIRM! Now ,I would not sleep without it (and my CPAP). I sleep just fine on my side while wearing my FFM.

I went by and looked at it and I found it to be a little too small for my big head thou.
