More Pur Sleep Feedback

Post by Lee Lee » Tue Oct 30, 2007 11:42 am

I got my trial of Pur Sleep yesterday, and was amazed at the fast shipping.
I absolutley loved the way it was packaged! Brochure was very proffesional, and easy to understand. The diffuser is fabulous! Great design and very substantial.
The oils smelled good, even through the packaging.
I used Peace last night, and did the pad on the top of the bottle trick, instead of pouring it out. That worked well.
I used 2 drops.
It smelled great, but it wasn't very strong. In fact, after an hour, I couldn't really smell it at all. I will use more tonight.
I slept well, still woke up at 3:00AM, which I have done every night for like 10 years. I was hoping this would help me with the waking up, and it very well may when I get it right. One item of note, my numbers were the lowest they have ever been, around 2 AHI and 0 AI. I also felt I slept deeper than usual. It was hard to get up this morning. That is very unusal for me.
I am encouraged.
One question, I have this great big HEPA air cleaner in my room, and it does a great job at eliminating odors.
I wonder if it is eliminating my Pur-Sleep aroma???
Thanks, Sleep Guy, you Da Man!
Lee Ann

Lee Lee, I don't have a HEPA filter so I can't answer the question directly. I am interested in the answer. I do know that drafts in the room (like a ceiling fan) will interfere with the passive diffusion of the aromatics around the air intake. So if your air cleaner is creating a draft it's likely working at cross-purposes with the aromatherapy. Why don't you try to sleep tonight without the air cleaner and see if it makes a difference?

Glad to hear your report.

Not only do I have the big ole air cleaner, I have a celing fan , and 2 small personal fans beside my bed. I live in a townhouse (common in these parts of Northern Virginia) which has 3 levels. The top level gets rather hot and stuffy, hence the fans. Oh, and there's that whole turning 54 in a few days thing. (I'm sleeping "hot" these days)
Anyway, I'l give it a shot (turning the fans off) and give you a report.
I think I love this Pur Sleep thing!

Or...perhaps you could block out an area around the diffuser (such as with books or cardboard pieces) to diminish the effect of drafts? No sense sleeping too hot in October mind you.....

I've had two nights using pur sleep now and have been amazed at how fast I fall asleep. The first night I used clear and fell asleep fast, but tossed and turned. I do think most of that tossing and turning was due to the time change and nothing else. Last night I used spice and fell asleep in what felt like 30 seconds. As I woke up during the night, I was able to go right back to sleep with another drop of spice. What a great product! Thank you Sleep guy!

Lee Ann, I've been out of town for a few days and was wondering if you figured out your HEPA filter issues. Hope you're still sleeping well (and not too hot!).
