All kidding aside...Seattle has great tap water. You should have no problem breathing it for a few nights.

I've posted on this a number of times (and I'm too lazy to go back and find the link) but there was a study reported in Chest Journal that concluded that tap water is actually fine for CPAP insofar as disease agents are concerned. A HH cannot transmit germs. So the only real issue is the potential for mineral buildup in the water chamber. If you have a cheap disposable water chamber like me I don't care. In any event, mineral buildup, if it even occurs, is harmless and can be cleaned out with a bottle brush or a little vinegar soak (the acid will dissolve the minerals).

In my opinion, life is WAY too short to worry about distilled water in my water chamber (I've used RO water for years) much less on a business trip! When I travel I use either tap water or some bottled water from the hotel room.

Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.

LOL - in that study reported in Chest Journal, the researchers used radioactive water in the chamber and found that none of the radioactivity traveled up the hose.....

Truth can be stranger than fiction . . . sometimes anyway

I agree.... and I have used tap and bottled water in a pinch. The HH tank doen't cost that to replace anyway.

Thanks for all the suggestions, I think I do have more to worry about than the "water". Will just use tap water and do a good clean every night.

As always greatly appreciate the help from everyone on this site. You all are the best!
