Slinky,

My point exactly.

I was getting in a small humorous dig at Snoredog who thinks our ResMeds are no better than glorified doorstops (which is fine, because I would hope that he thought his machine is the best if he's going to use it).

I wasn't apologizing for my ResMed, though a few months ago, based on the Repironics fans on this forum, I thought I may have been cheated. Now, as I've read through some of the machine problems others have had on this forum, I'm convinced that there are strengths and weaknesses to each machine.

I like my ResMed, and was trying to point out, in a not so subtle tongue-in-cheek way, that we were talking about a Respironics machine that was broken.

Ouch! Slinky you sneak! I didn't see that one coming.

Now where's that Respironics I'm using as a doorstop? (All in good humor of course).

Ha! That's what I was gonna do w/my RemStar Auto w/C-Flex (tank) until I found out my son in law wasn't hauling his Virtuoso LX w/him when he worked outta town! (Hey, I gotta admit, that "tank" worked well, I just missed my LCD screen data). So, off the tank went to live w/my son in law on the road.

Actually, based on the posts I've read on this forum, if I were to get a Respironics, I'd probably find someway to purchase a "tank".

They seem to me to be much more appealing to me than the new M-Series.

Hmmm! Maybe I could find one as a backup machine.

But wouldn't that be like being both a Democrat and a Republican. I might get myself stoned by both sides.

Well, I decided the Respironics were Republicans! Maybe not Bush Baby/Cheney Republicans but Republicans nonetheless. Well, now that I think of it, maybe they are Independents.

LOL

Too funny . . .

I don't need to get stoned, for years my mind was in a fog from lack of air. Since CPAP, actually breathing when I sleep makes reality seem pretty amazing.

Well, I knew this group would come through!! What I did was to contact my DME again in Michigan and they agreed to sent me a loner after I sent back the dead machine. I'm sure it's still in warranty and was afraid to try the fix suggested by Snoredog. Holy Cow, the price to ship it back by 2/day FedEx was astronomical. How much is this machine when purchased new? I might have over estimated the price but at this point in time I just want my cpap machine back ASAP. I will call the DME again Monday to be sure they understand this. We'll see how long it takes for them to get it back to me.

Thanks Snortdog, oops-- a typo, I mean Snoredog. You really know your cpap machine and are technical asset to this forum.

Thanks also to ozij, slinky, and j.a.taylor. I live in the metro Detroit area, Slinky. Thanks, also to Debst99. who understands my enthuiasium of being the grandmother of twins.(one of each, born 10/02/07) How great to be a member of that club!!

Hmmmm.... how many on here have lived in the shadow of the Big 3 ?

I used to live in Fraser and Mt. Clemens myself.

Seems to be an alot of SE Mi (or SE MI Alumni) on here.

Let's sue, I'm sure we can get someone to be responsible for these numbers. All we need is an Honest Lawyer to take our case.

(oops, oh well, it was a thought)
