I find it interesting that somebody that has supposedly taken himself off CPAP is now in a cpap forum... this is beginning to smell like a troll.

I'm not on my machine, but I check here (and one other forum) most every day. Guess I'm watching for that one bit of advise that makes it work for me. Hope no one's offended by the lurking...

Advice that "makes it work for you" might be more readily provided to you if you were to post more specific details as what exactly is not working for you. Of course you could also lurk without offending anyone and just hope that you don't have a heart attack or stroke before the advice spontaneously appears one day.

As DreamStalker said, if you don't post what problem(s) you're having, no one can share their experience or offer their suggestions or advice. The good Lord helps those who help themselves. Share w/us and we can share w/you.

Have you done things as basic as getting copies of the full summary data reports from your sleep/titration studies? The copies of your dictated results from those studies? Have you checked the info available under the Yellow Lightbulb and the Red Ball w/Question Mark? Do you know what brand and model of xPAP you have? Do you know the name of your mask and the style? Do you know what your pressure or pressure range is? Have you contacted your sleep lab about the problems you've been having? Have you talked to your local DME supplier's RT about the problems you've been having?

Do you REALLY want to use your xPAP? Do you REALLY want xPAP therapy to work for you? Heck, anyone who truly wants help w/their xPAP therapy is MORE than welcome here!

[quote="coyote"]Has anybody had this happen to them also. You go to the specialist "doctor" and they prescribe a sleep study and low and behold you have sleep apnea. Then you must get a machine from thier supplier and then the chiro thing begins......see me again in two weeks and they adjust the pressure "though they will not explain why it needs adjusting" then you go to the DME supplier you purchased your cpap machine from and they adjust the pressure....come back to see dr in two week and repeat. Hmmmmm. 21st century chiro rip-off if you ask me.

8 month on this machine and my sleep is worse than it ever was. I took myself off this stupid treadmill three weeks ago and feel better now. So long cpap foolishness.

I just want to go back to sleep!

I have posted some information, and asked specific questions, and gotten some suggestions which I tried. No good results yet. I don't, however, respond well to sarcasm, well-meaning though it might be. That's why my posts are infrequent and my details minimal.

Seems to me that you were the one that started the sarcasm with your original post in this thread.

Most people DON'T respond well to sarcasm.....but, on the other hand, most of us know how well this therapy DOES work when all the right components come together......so, your original post probably struck most of us the wrong way.

Would you like to start back at the "beginning" and provide us with more information so that some of us can TRY to help you in a more constructive manner?

Sarcasm begets more sarcasm......so, if you want to go back to "square one", you may find some help here.
We KNOW how destructive this condition can eventually get to be and we don't like to see people fail at it or give up. OK?

Best wishes,

Den

This was MY original post on this thread. I can't imagine how, but if anyone finds this sarcastic, I apologize. It won't happen again.

Did you or did you not post as "coyote"? THAT's the post (first one in this thread) I was referring to as being sarcastic......and implying that he/she had given up on using their CPAP. You posted that you were not using your machine, so that's why I assumed you were also "coyote".

I’m not sure my post was intended as sarcasm either. On the other hand I do know that I often express myself in a rather blunt and gruff manner (sometimes my view of the truth is not pleasant). So I too am willing to apologize for offending you but I must warn you, the world is full of sarcasm … your response to the world around you may be a difficult one (a most unfortunate prospect that you would do well to mitigate -- though not by avoiding the world or this forum).

Nonetheless, I appear to have moved off tangent here but I would greatly encourage you to join the forum if you are indeed sincere about seeking advice to improve you apnea related health issues. There are many experienced and well informed members here who can help you to become a successful CPAP user. Best wishes.

Nope, I've never posted as anyone other than "Fuzzy Guest". I only responded to the statement that people on here not on XPAP might be trolls, and to say that not all of us are...some are just looking for information. Sorry to have caused this confusion...I'll keep my mouth shut (and fingers still) from now on.

No.....don't do that! It's fine to lurk.....I did in the beginning, too. On the other hand, you might as well join in the "party". Please register as a member.

I was responding to coyote... wasn't responding to anybody else.

If you've lurked long enough Fuzzy Guest... you'd know that there are some fly by night folks that come through here. That was what the "troll" tag was for.
