mask

Post by DOVE » Mon Oct 08, 2007 4:24 pm

I am new to this apnea world and am not having such a good time with it all. I have tried lots of masks and do have to wear a full face due to the fact I cant keep my mouth shut (hahha). I wanted to see if anyone has tried or is using the respironics comfortfull 2 mask?

Thank You
Dove

If you fill out your profile I am sure there will be lots of helpful answers.

I use the Fisher and Paykel 431c mask and it has been working fine for me.

You can also take a look at my mask’s diary. I am sure it will help you in choosing optimal mask.

Ty all for your responses. I know I need to fill out my profile, but like I said I am new to all of this. I am using an auto machine right now, because the pressure was so high on my other one, but I will fill out all of my info when I get settled. Just having lots of trouble wearing the mask.

Here is a link that RestedGal has put together that gives numerous mask topics. A wealth of information here
viewtopic.php?p=35286

You can also go to cpap.com and check the link for full face masks and read the reviews and see the ratings. This will give a comprehensive idea of each of the masks. Here's the link for that

If you have specific questions/concerns about a particular mask, you can do a post with that mask in the title and you will usually get some replies.

Here's the cpap.com site with the comfortfull reviews. 147 reviews. This helps you sort out the pros and the cons.

My DME gave me a Comfortfull 2 from his sample supply. I tried many times to make it work, but alas, it leaked like a sieve, and if I got it tight enough to stop most of the leaks, the pressure against my teeth was unbearable. May work for you, but I've given up on it. Also, the connector for the straps was very difficult to use.

Currently I use the Optilife with taping, and have very good success. Thinking of taking a look at the Hybrid or Liberty when my insurance will cover another mask.
