Padacheek or Padaleak?

Post by Flying_Norseman » Sat Sep 15, 2007 8:46 am

I got my Padacheeks in the mail yesterday and put them on but it seems to have caused a lot of leaks. I have a Swift II Nasal Pillow mask and the straps that go along the jaw when padded seem to make it leak especially when I lay on my side. Anyone else have this problem?

Just so everyone knows, the nice lady at Padacheek offered to refund my money. I am going to try some modifications though so I will be keeping them. It is nice to know that there is great customer service out there.

Yeah, Karen's the bomb. Isn't she just a sweetheart?

I think the tiny bit of extra elevation may not work for you in this case. I find the tiniest things can make a huge difference in sealing for me, with any mask.

Try the Nasal Aire II.

Sorry, the line about "Babette Conversions" on another thread has made me evangelistic this AM. I think I'll go knock on all my neighbors' doors and ask them to listen to my testimony about the NAII.

LOL,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Yes, she is great. She designed a nose cover so my Quattro mask would not dig a hole in the bridge of my nose. No more holy noses!!

Bad church musician joke.

AND, she offered to help me design my natural fiber chinstrap and/or chinstrap cover. Not to mention she's a great contributor to this forum, and to the Live Chat.

All Hail Padacheeks!

If you need anything at all padded, do contact her. She's quite ingenious. And check out her beaded jewelry, too.

I was just going to say it was probably the design of your face because they work for everyone else

mine leaked a bit too. I think it's that the mask really fits when its on my face, but it has just a teensy push out of true when I have a strap cover on it. hense leaks at the corners.

I havent talked to padacheek about it yet (sorry padacheek)
