CPAPAuction.com - Find Deals and Save Money

Post by johnnygoodman » Tue Sep 04, 2007 7:02 am

Greetings CPAPtalkers,

I am pleased to announce that as of this morning, CPAPAuction.com is open for business! We have completed a pre-launch period with sellers, and there are a lot of screaming deals on CPAP equipment available for your viewing pleasure right now:

http://www.cpapauction.com/browse-cpap.php

Here are some of the features CPAPAuction.com has that I think makes it special:

* You Can Buy and Sell CPAP, APAP and BiPAP Machines. We manage the Rx and the process is transparent once it is on file. You can send us your prescription via traditional methods (Fax, Email, Upload) or if your Rx is already on file at CPAP.com, you can import it into your CPAPAuction account.

* You Can Buy and Sell Used Equipment. Product condition questions are required for each listing, ensuring that you know what you are buying before you bid. Those who misrepresent product condition will not be allowed to continue to participate in CPAPAuction. Using this feature you can clean out your mask drawer, get once used masks at low prices and generally have the ability to never be stuck with CPAP equipment you no longer need.

* Super Easy Listing Process. No other auction website focuses on CPAP, which leaves you filling out blank forms to list products. Not on CPAPAuction! We allow users to import product images and descriptions from CPAP.com and edit from there. This makes selling your stuff CPAPAuction ridiculously simple and fast.

* No Charges To Buyers. Ok, this is more on par with other auction websites than special, but I thought I would throw it in so you'd know.

We are in our beta phase through September 30th. During this time sellers may post virtually unlimited listings for a one time registration fee of one dollar.

Please tour around, submit feedback or place your bids!

Johnny

I just wanted to thank you for doing this! Selling my unsuitable masks will allow someone else to give it a try and allow me to buy what I know works for me!

I appreciate all of your efforts on our behalf. I cannot imagine where I would be in my therapy without this board.

How is it possible to post ResMed items on the auction site. Ben from Resmed stated in a letter that it is forbidden to post any ResMed items in Auction sites. He also stated in a letter this week that CPAP.Com is no longer a customer of ResMed. Is that true? If it is true, why didn't cpap.com comply with the rules that ResMed layed down?

Hi there, Anonymous.
You sure sound convincing, when you don't identify yourself and talk of a "Ben" in Resmed wirting (you?) a letter about cpap.com.

People who don't play the game don't have to abide by its rules. The game Resmed plays with patients, and the rules it trys to dictate are enough to make a person sick - literally as well as metaphorically.

O.

I asked about combined shipping and got this answer.

Dear Jeff,

I am sorry but we are unable to combine shipments and charge only one shipping fee.

That's too bad.

I was interested in an item at cpapauction.com but the Seller was a new Seller w/no feedback and the item was used, the Seller also was not a cpaptalk.com member. I had some questions so I e-mailed the Seller.

What I got back was one of those spam filters from earthlink (one of the very reason I QUIT earthlink) that allow incoming messages only from senders the Seller has approved beforehand.

The jist of the message was:
If you would like to be added to my list of approved senders, please fill out the short request form (see link below). Once I approve you, I will receive your original message in my inbox. You do not need to resend your message. I apologize for this one-time inconvenience.

Click the link below to fill out the request:
Well, you know what? I refuse to be bothered playing games. Either this Seller wants to auction off the product or he/she doesn't. I've lost all interest in his product.
