I have been doing so well on the cpap, but recently I have been waking up four or five times a night with air blowing out of my mouth. I have tried the tape and the strips, but they don't work.
Any suggestions appreciated

In that case you better get a FF Mask. If you loose your treatment pressure out of your mouth, a FF Mask will cover the problem. At the least you will be getting treatment. Jim

Thank you :)
I didn't think of a full face mask. Is that what they are for and what is the best kind to purchase?

Mouthbreathing is why FF masks are out there, got to keep the holes covered for treatment to work. FF masks are a little harder to get to fit and seal. They have more surface area and have to fit tighter to seal. I've used the ComfortFull, it works for me but it wore a hole in the bridge of my nose the first few nights, after it healed it got tougher. (My Nose) I used it a 15 cm. I also have a Resmed FF, that I haven't used yet. I also used a F & P 431, but my AHI went higher, so it's in the back of the drawer. Jim

There are three basic kinds: a "regular" full-face mask that covers the nose and mouth; a truly full-face mask that covers the whole face; and a "full face with nasal pillows" mask which is basically a mask that seals around the mouth and has nasal pillows sticking up out of it. Of the third style, there are currently two: the Hybrid and the Liberty.
I'd suggest browsing over our host's site to look at the different types of FF masks.
Taping worked just fine for me except for the aerophagia, but I just got really tired of it. The Hybrid makes my life so much easier.
