Does anybody know where I can get a copy of the Encore Pro software these days? It doesn't seem to be available any more.

Smart Card Reader Format?

Post by whatatrip » Wed Aug 15, 2007 4:32 pm

I understand that the Encore software is not being made available to anyone except doctors. Does anyone know what data format the smart card reader produces? Can a person use MS Access, for example to display the data?

Don't know what format it uses but from all indications it won't work.

Its a proprietary binary format. You can't read it with MS Access. We don't know how to decode it yet but there is an effort underway to do just that.

Rob.....Why don't you run a little experiment....Tell your doctor that you want him to help you get a copy of the software you need.

If he's truly interested in helping his customers.....and if he really cares about keeping them as customers....he'll help you get what you want and need.

It's worth a try. See what happens.....and let us all know what his reaction is to your request.
