I've found it in my user guide. It depends on your pressure, if you want to post your pressure or PM me I'll provide you with that info.

[quote="Slinky"]Hey, SnoreDog!!! Are you SURE "all" masks come w/their "intended leak rate" included in their literature???

I ask because the only Resmed mask I've tried is the Swift and there is NOTHING giving the "intended leak rates" in the Swift literature unless it is on the CD that comes w/it. I never bothered with the CD.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

The two ResMed masks I've used had "Vent Flow Rate" charts. My Quattro chart is in the User Guide under Technical Specifications (Pg. 7).
Called the "Pressure-Flow Curve"

I just found out something interesting as I finally got around to reading mine.
My reported "Average Leak" from my Encore Pro reports is significantly lower than the chart states......although the chart does allow a plus or minus 6.0 L/Min. At my pressure of 12, my reports showed an average of about 30 to 35.....with the elbow taped......without it taped, it was in the upper 30's.

8 - 32
12 - 41

Whew, SnoreDog! Yer sure feeling bitchy today!! Not a hint of a smile w/that remark even. Its a good thing I'm thick-skinned or my feelings would be hurt! As it is, I just considered the source. I know you can be a crusty ole fart at times, BUT - I've also seen the generous and helpful advice you've given in the forum and even to me - evidently on one of your "better" days.

Thanks, TNurse. For some reason I didn't get a User's Guide w/my Swift. But I did get a Clinical Use Only Disinfection/Sterilization Guide. Aren't I lucky?

And, SnoreDog, if you meant that the Resmed's deduct the "intended flow rate" for the Swift mask selection, I know that. But if I weren't using a Resmed, if I were using the RemStar Auto w/C-Flex I wouldn't know the Swift "intended flow rate" since it wasn't included in any of the literature I received w/"my" Swift.

Since I'm NOT using the Swift but have switched to the Respironics Simplicity mask I opted to use the Standard mask Selection on my Resmed.

I called Resmed and asked them what "intended leak rate" they used for the Standard mask Selection at a pressure of 8 cms and was told that rate would be .24L/s
