Twostepper,

My UMFF whistled when I initially got it, but that noise was coming from the exhaust vent. I removed the silcon vent piece the mask, and on advice from someone here, cleaned it up good and kind of "worked it" around between my fingers. I also found some residual silicon hanging around the vent holes, which I cleaned up/removed also. This pretty well eliminated the whistling I was experiencing.

If movement is causing or altering the sound, I don't think that would be your culprit, but the vent has caused quite a few people here problems. Best of luck. Ken

I have one of those and noticed that same sound coming from the exhalation ports. I recommend to keep the straps a bit loose, once you turn the CPAP on, pull the mask away from your face and let it fill with air. Also try different positions with the forehead support. Keep playing with the mask, you will find your sweet spot. But at least try loosening the straps, it might work for you.
Good luck,

Ernesto

Put the forehead piece in the full-upright position and loosen the top atraps until it is literally not touching your forehead......then adjust the tension on the bottom straps.
Make sure the seals are curled in and not blown out where they're touching your face. I prefer to adjust that when the air flow is turned off......pulling it away from the face and re-sealing......then turning machine back on to check.

If that mask hurts.....you've got it way too tight and improperly adjusted.
