Finding leak rates

Post by Guest » Thu Aug 02, 2007 7:47 am

Can you only find out your leak rate if your machine has a data card? I know I can get the number of hours and nights that I've used my machine but I checked the documentation (I think) and I didn't see where I could find leak rate. Of course I may have missed something.

Jirel

If you have a Remstar "M" Plus you probably can't. for all the others the card reader and EncorePro will tell you. You can also go into the LCD menu and turn it on. My DME had almost everything turned off so it did not show on the screen. Hold the 2 arrow keys for 4/5 sec after plugging it in. When you get to the leak rate turn it on. It is an avg and I don't know how accurate it is (I think there are some problems). As I remember the 7 day average is junk but the 30 day average may be close.

Jirel, the Plus records only hours of use. No leak information to see -- not on the machine's LCD or through software. Not even if the machine has a Smart Card stuck in it. Using software with a Plus machine's Smart Card would report only hours of use.

Here's what the machine's Provider Setup menu settings look like on the REMstar M series Plus:

Compared to the Pro, which gives Leak and AHI info:

I added the red arrows and red text.

Oh, the Pro also has automatic altitude adjustment. The Plus has to have the altitude setting changed manually on the machine if a person travels to a significantly higher or lower elevation.
