Mike, you have a freestyle?? Way to go, buddy. You didn't let a little thing like nose fangs stop you, no way.

Surprised you never has a nasalaire...isn't that the gold standard ?
It sure was for us until this new stuff that came out last year.

I have tried:

F and P flexifit ff
comfortful size med
UMFF size med and large
Hans Rudolph ff med and small
Swift I and II
Optilife
Bravo
NAII
Edit: OOPS, forgot Liberty
Hybrid

13 total--that makes about 2 a week. Yikes.

I've been on the hose about 8 weeks, 6 of them fully compliant. Only some of these came from DME. Others were bought used or traded, or bought at cpap.com.

So, do I get a crown too?

Jen

You are dubbed queen of the most masks in such a short time.

[quote="Catnapper"]I think that anyone who manages to use CPAP deserves a crown, regardless of the number of masks.

This is not an easy therapy to do, and I bow to anyone who is successful with CPAP. It takes determination and motivation to sleep with all the various apparatus.

Give us all crowns! We earned them!

[quote="robbieh"]I've been on cpap for a little over 2 months and have tried 6 masks:

1. Optilife nasal pillows
2. Comfortgel nasal mask
3. Comfortful full face mask
4. Bravo nasal pillows
5. Ultramirage full face mask
6. Liberty nasal pillows with mouth mask

That makes for a MMI (monthly mask index) of 3 heh heh....

Sorry lvwildcat no Oracle in my collection, it took me a little whie to sort thru them. Not sure if I ever really tried one, I do have them in the office though, hmm I may have to bring one home for a week or two.

And NO I didn't make a list of them all, so nobody ask me to list them, I would get carpal tunnel just typing them out!!! LOL

I've been on CPAP for 17 days.

My first mask was a ComfortGel. It made the skin around my nose peel, but was very comfy. My DME replaced it for free with an Optilife mask.

I thought I was doing pretty well having two masks in such a short period of time. But, it seems you all have me beat.

On the bright side, I haven't had to pay a cent for any of it ....yet....hehehe

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

RG could definitely put us all to shame. ESPECIALLY if you were counting duplicates. I'm starting to think she has an "Aura Room" with shelves and shelves of nothing but Auras.

My list:
ComfortGel (DME took it back, but it was the one I started with)
F&P 431
Ultra Mirage Full Face (2)
Adams Circuit
Breeze (thanks to a generous forum member)
Activa
Aura/TwilightNP/Headrest (3 - one I bought myself, one as a graduation gift from a very generous forum member, and one I traded with another terriffic forum member for).

So, all told (and not counting the one the DME took back), I have 9. I thought that was plenty. Til I met y'all. LOL

Machine: M-Series Auto
Mask: Headrest
No humidifier
On the hose since 2005.

I hated the Adam's Circuit. Just in trying it on, it made my nose bleed horribly. It's one of the oldest nasal pillows out there (if not THE oldest) and definitely, at least in my experience, the worst.

Machine: M-Series Auto
Mask: Headrest
No humidifier
On the hose since 2005.

ok, the link above is to someones mask list. I don't think he ever posts here, so he can't be in the contest, but you gotta admit the list is impressive, especially when you consider it was posted 2 years ago.

I myself have a measly 5 masks, but I am strapped for cash, and not using hose at the moment due to needing to hear my daughter's pulseox and vent alarms.

miniMe
IQ
nasalaire 2
aura
generic contour mask ( my first from the DME...)

My dream set up:
auto with aflex
opus or optilife (I think...)

what I'm using when I'm using...
machine: invacare with softex (aka boat anchor)
mask: IQ
Pressure 13
