Just got mine at Noon today! Thanks Bret for powering through the addy issues!

BTW, ordering off the Pur-Sleep website is quick and easy, and the transaction went most smoothly. On my end. Poor Bret was tortured by the Postal Service for a few hours... But he mailed it on Saturday, and it got here Noon today, so I'm VERY HAPPY!!!!

First off, I like the packaging. Quick, easy, clean and simple. For those that commented they smelled product as soon as they opened the box - well, OF COURSE YOU DO! The product was packaged in a facility that is full of the scent of EO's. The outsides of the packaging are going to be permeated with scent. This doesn't mean the oils packaged inside are leaking.

I like the shrink wrap on the bottles - keeps them together and clean and spillproof. It was easy to get into the outer package, and the inner shrink wrapped packages of oils, and the diffuser and pads.

THANK YOU FOR SENDING ME THREE PADS, BRET!

I don't think you need to send baggies. I DO think a FAQ page on your website should include a hint to store the diffuser pads in individual baggies, and possibly a baggie to hold each bottle and it's diffuser pad is a good idea for the consumer. Such baggies can be bought at craft supply stores in the beading/jewelry making aisle. They make all sizes from the tiniest baggies that will hold just a few beads, to the perfect size you want for your Pur-Sleep.

Another FAQ tip might be to cut a small rectangle of felt or other soft cloth to go beneath your diffuser, to make sure it doesn't scratch your table top. That way, if you ever want to WASH the diffuser, you don't have to deal with stuck on felt pads getting wet and icky. I was going to stick felt furniture pads on it, then thought better of it.

Really looking forward to tonight! Plan to try 1 drop Clear and 1 Drop Peace.

MANY THANKS!!!!
Barbara

I've been using mine for over a week now and love it! My favorite scent right now is "Fresh" which came with the Standard Starter Pack. Mmmmmmm.

Thanks Bret for a great product!

Right after getting my package in the mail and smelling all three scents, I decided that the one with peppermint in it was the one for me (always have loved peppermint candy). I noticed I had a hard time getting to sleep at first and then a little while later, I woke up and could not get back to sleep no matter what I did. I told my wife the results of my first nights sleep the next morning and she did some reading in her aromatherapy book and saw where peppermint is mainly used as a stimulant. Even said that studies done had shown that using a peppermint fragrance in a office seemed to increase the productivity of the workers. I wished she would have read that before I tried it. But she said that the fragrances used in the bottle called Peace, ( lavender, majoram, orange ) all were consider calming fragrances and good for trying to sleep. Sounds like that is the one for me.

Try one drop of clear with a couple of peace - works great!

Also if you feel an oil is not just "right" for you, try adding a drop of another oil. The spice was great - but just by adding one drop of creme to it, made all the difference to me. The pur-sleep website has excellent recommendations on which ones to mix.

I took a nap today and used the same diffuser pad and added one drop of fresh to it. The kids were loud, but I went straight to sleep and had one of the most restful naps I've ever had! I did not use my cpap for naps and now I look forward to them with my cpap!

I did 2 drops of Spice and 2 drops of peace last night -- great combo!!!!

I can't wait to get the ones I ordered (probably in the mailbox today -- we get our mail pretty late in the day) so I can start putting them in the mix.....

I hadn't thought of the crafts store for the smaller baggies for the diffusers -- thanks Babs -- great idea.....
I usually found them in another kind of shop

cheers

Jammin, you're absolutely correct. Peppermint typically is a stimulant. It's also an effective way to support breathing, so there's a conflict using it for sleep.

The peppermint blend, Clear, has been in the process of reformulation for some time for that very reason. It's finally done and includes a nice amount of lime and lavender, which, together, take the "edge" off the peppermint quite well.

Unfortunately, the Clear that went out in the trials etc. is from the first run and so it works best if you put a drop of "Peace" with it.

Clear is my personal favorite these days and the new formulation is great.

Spice has also been undergoing a new formulation, adding a bit of lavender and removing the Bay Rum (the cloves work great for the spice smell).

Starting today, all products shipping directly from pur-sleep will include the new formulation of Clear and will probably include the new formulation of Spice (though there's still some old inventory in the mix). Also, all Basic Starter Packs will ship with 3 pads.

Thanks again for all of the feedback. I'm glad people are liking it! As I've said before, this literally changed my life. I went from hardly using my cpap at all to using it all night, every night, for the past 18 months or so. I have been so pleased with the transformation that I've just felt constrained to put this whole product line together so others could experience the same thing.

Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.

I may be slow but I cannot figure out where on the pur-sleep webside the recommendations are located. I have clicked on everything possible and can't seem to find it .
Thanks for your help!

Yes, I found it a bit stimulating too, but was able to sleep, now that I think back. I love to use Dr. Bronners peppermint soap in the shower for a true pick me up. It is very energizing. I read that it can make you feel that way after I noticed the effect years ago. It is the true "zest." Remember those commercials that showed the person in the shower being woken up by the soap? Zest may not do it, but Dr. Bronners, available at health food stores and Trader Joes just might! I bet the pur-sleep reformulation is lovely!

Another packaging thought. You may want to include a sheet with a list of all of your available EOs with suggestions for mixing different ones. That will help people to pair tried-and-true combinations as well as encourage them to get all the oils!

So two nights ago, i tried not using the Pur-Sleep system when I went to sleep.

I lasted about 5 minutes before i HAD to get up and get my "smell tray".

It was like I could smell every nasty medical/plastic smell coming from my hose/mask. Even though I remember smelling it, it was like now I couldnt live with it at all. Much less fall asleep.

3 drops of Peace and im out like a light.

Oh and:

I second that. Listing the available EO's with the descriptions you typed up in this thread would leave me longing for more.

I dont so much mind my "medical" smelling equip. I kind of grew up in and out of hospitals. To tell the truth I find hospital smells comforting. CPAP was not that hard for me smellwise. Hospitals for me remind me of comfort, and feeling better, and good nurses. I guess I am lucky to not be reminded of the pain and sickness and other bad things that come with a hospital stay.

But the pur-sleep has made getting to sleep even easier. I did notice when I tried to sleep without it I couldnt. I did add some rosemary oil to the peace last night. Gave it that same almost menthol type zing only lighter, without being as uppy as the peppermint. Thanks babs for that idea...never would have thought it up on my own.

I am so very very tired tonight. I am praying with my whole heart that my child will sleep tonight and knock off her shenanigans. I am going to bed soon. Can barely keep my eyes open.

Now that's fantastic! You're not the only one to note lower AHI. Others in the first trial did as well. It would be interesting to be able to study that effect sometime.
