air in stomach

Post by Big Sky Mama » Wed Jul 04, 2007 2:24 pm

I experience air in my stomach every night. Does anyone have any suggestions? My left side is the only position It doesn't happen.

Yes, I could mention more flatulence since I have started CPAP. The only treatment I can suggest is a trivial one….

Here it is called aerophagia. If you search on this term you will find many posts. Here is a recent one: viewtopic.php?t=18768&postdays=0&postor ... ia&start=0

I too have had a problem with this. read the posts on Gerd, I commented there, too.
A simple solution seems to NOT sleep on your right side. Have done this 2 nights now and it seems to be working. Again see my posts in GERD

Good point Louise. I can't sleep on right or left side without getting bad aerophagia. So I force myself to sleep only on my back. This is not always so easy for me and sometimes I awaken having rolled to one side in my sleep.
