Has this been run thru any medical testing or does it have FDA approval for this purpose??

OP - there's alot of talk on the forum about how this product was pulled from sale due to concerns and has been significantly re-vamped.

No, it has not been run through the FDA.

The maker is a forum member, and appears to be very receptive to feedback and has been very open about his R&D process and why he made changes to the product.

Do a search on "pursleep" on the forum.

Cheers,
B.

I currently have a stash of Nasal Aire II cannulas in Small or Extra Small. Please PM me if you would like them. I'm interested in bartering for something strange and wonderful that I don't currently own. Or a Large size NAII cannula. :)

Absolutely! And, since people reading the posts can't tell I am rolling my eyes when reading and posting the NIH report - I should have said so. At the very least have added an emoticon It was meant as tongue in cheek.

Thanks so much for the follow-up post!
Gasp--this was not lost on me I was referring to various people who had posted the same reference on various threads--that's all.
Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.

Boy I'm glad you said that before I did!

Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but Bret has loads of fans on this forum.

Actually, I should just keep my mouth shut - I'm not a big fan of scents. Most of them give me a headache.

Cheers,
B.

SleepGuy,

I have a M-Series w/ integrated heated humidifier. I am not clear how the diffuser would work with this setup ...

The Diffuser is placed near the air intake. It works best if the top of the Diffuser is about one inch below the air intake, which is typically located on the back of the machine. You may have to elevate the Diffuser or the CPAP to get the configuration right. Drafts in the room (fans, vents, etc.) should be avoided. That's all there is to it.

Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.

Ah, I see I wasn't sure and thought better to talk about it that for me to make an assumption. Thanks for the reply

Direct contact with liquid essential oils is different than contact with essential oils (or any substance that imparts a smell) that have volatilized (e.g., acheived enough energy to become a gas). Liquid essential oils should not contact your skin, eyes, furniture, plastics, etc.
Try the Scented CPAP Mask with Pur-Sleep's CPAP Aromatherapy--CPAP Diffuser and Essential Oils.
