Post by Rockside » Thu Apr 14, 2005 8:53 am

Just wondered if there was anything I should ask when I go to my follow up appointment with my doctor

Insist you are given a copy of your test results.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I want to get a copy of the results for my reference and a copy for my primary care doc. Is there any type of issue with getting these records for those purposes?

There shouldn't be, if there is...........you should change doctors. He should be making you aware of every thing.

Your PCP should already have a report.

The more you know, the better your treatment.

Martini -

Only problem is my Doc is in St. Petersburg, and the ENT is in the northern part of Pinellas County. There's this HUGE imaginary wall somewhere about halfway across the county that no one can breach. The doctors in the south part of the county all know eachother, the docs up north are tight, but no one knows anyone from the other side. They seem cenetered around the big hospitals here (Bayfront Medical Center in the South, Morton Plant Hospital in the north)

IN fact, when my wife was in the hospital for mastitis after our first son was born, I had to physically copy and fax the hospital records to the doc's office for him to have a copy.

Big pain in the butt. But, then again, I can be MIGHTY persuasive...
