Post by sharon1965 » Tue Apr 24, 2007 6:24 pm

Hey rookie,

how did your surgery go? how are you feeling now? wanted to pm you but couldn't find you on the list, and i've been watching the boards for you, but nothing so far...am anxious to hear how you're getting along

hope everything went well and you're resting comfortably

day two

Post by cpaprookie » Tue Apr 24, 2007 6:47 pm

i am managing.... a bit swollen, and think that is
partly because of the splints....
the 'simply saline' has proven its worth today.
hoping i can find some happy medium for the next week ahead...
i can see the sleep issue being an issue FOR SURE!

thanks for checking on me, i'll check back soon

rookie

thanks for letting me know...glad to hear you're doing ok...the saline rinse definitely helps and if you have pain meds to take they should help with sleeping...make sure you rest up and try to do absolutely nothing for a while...jeffh gave me that advice after his septoplasty, and it was the best thing i could do for myself

take care, hope you're quickly on the mend

so i take "do nothing" to mean less than i did today....
meaning i made soup, and got water a dozen times,
watched the big game, and am wathing tv and having a bit of a chat right now....

too much?

oh, i dunno

sounds pretty much like nothing, unless you got worked up watching the game, and i assume the soup didn't involve harvesting your own fresh ingredients, so i think you're on the right track

post-op DAY TWO

Post by cpaprookie » Wed Apr 25, 2007 11:16 am

expected conjestion, and some sinus pressure
all to be expected..

my pamphlet says i can be more mobile, and looking forward
to steaming up in the shower, should prove helpful.

if i want to do ONE thing today, it would be to blow my nose...
but that is NOT ALLOWED....

no real pain, discomfort? maybe... not sure, but its all for a good cause

Sharon,

Having stitches still in there would drive me nuts! You're a very patient woman. I'll make sure not to tell my ENT about you or he'll ask to replace me with you
