Hello
New to forum, fairly new to cpap. Just went to Sleep Doc for check up and finally convinced him to get me an Auto. Got the script and called DME to find out about exchange. I was told it could be exchanged (renting). but that they also we're checking into software, because my Doc want's them to upload the data and report to him.
All the posts I've read don't mention anything about this. I know I can get the software, But If the DME is getting it should I not get a copy as well ???
Thanx

Apap Question
Oh, you mean the EULA.
Yeah, it wouldn't be legal to copy the software from them, but I think what the poster is asking is since the DME is going to be doing downloads and sending the data to the doc, does he/she need his/her own copy of the software to be able to look at what's going on as well.
Personally, I'd feel better if I had my own so I could operate independantly from the DME should the need arise. If, however, they're good people and you trust them, then it doesn't hurt to save a few bucks.

I'm a programmer Jim, not a doctor!
the DME is most likely NOT going to share the reports with you, only to the doctor.
So you might as well get the software yourself print your own reports and take them or email them to your doctor, at least you will be able to monitor your own results.
