Aura, Headrest, Twilight NP hose
Aura, Headrest, Twilight NP hose
I have been using my Aura (I guess Twilight NP now) for over a year now, and l really love it. The other day I noticed a pinhole leak in the hose at the mask end. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement hose? I sure don't want to have to buy a new mask just for the hose. For now I have just cut the length of the hose slightly to eliminate the hole, but I would really like to get a new one.
Thanks,
BP

BP, I may be wrong, but I don't think there is a replacement hose available for our favorite mask. Your "fix" of cutting off the injured end and reattaching the good remainder is a good idea. Was that difficult to do? That little hose seems to be almost glued onto the mask end of mine.

tangents, excellent idea, please let us know if the breeze hose works. BTW, where did you order the breeze hose from, I can't find it anywhere?
rested gal, it was very easy. The front end of the hose just slips over the hard plastic part that supports the cannula, and the back end just slips over the rotating connector. I did have to work them a little bit to get them off, but then I just used a sharp pair of scissors and cut away the part with the hole in it. Luckily it was right at the front end, if it had been in the middle there would be no way to do it.

If the hose is giving out where it connects to the plastic, you might be able to use heatshrink tubing, (Electrical Supply) to repair it and make it stronger than new. (use hair dryer to shrink the tubing so as not to burn anything) JimBP wrote:tangents, excellent idea, please let us know if the breeze hose works. Thanks, tangents! Good tip from ... DreamStalker, perhaps? He uses a Breeze, so I guess it was him.tangents wrote:I posted this question last week, and DreemSeeker replied:
Looking at the Breeze hose and the Aura, I think they're the same size. You can order just the hose

Ahhhh! Thanks, tangents. And thanks to DreamSeeker for the great find!tangents wrote:RG, no it was DreamSeeker's brilliant idea, and it worked like a charm. I ordered it from CPAP.COM, Puritan Bennett, Part Number Y-101976-00 Adapter-Tubing, Swivel, Breeze. A whole lot cheaper than a whole new Twilight!
