New features in Encore Pro 1.8
Can someone that has Encore Pro v1.8 post the text of 'New Features' section of the help file? I'm interested to see what (if anything) has been added other than Vista support and the bug fix for missing data.
thanks, -james

Feeling about the same. Nasal congestion is bad. Have actually stopped using CPAP the last week for the first time since starting it last July. Decided that no CPAP was better than using the Oracle. Just waiting for my surgery on May 10th (and hoping it is the right thing to do and that it helps)SelfSeeker wrote:I hope you are feeling better.
I'll be saying my prayers for you and that surgery, James!!! I'm looking forward to seeing that orignal picture w/the lovely smile posted here again! Good luck & God bless!!!

Re: Help file "new features" from 1.8i
Apparently the C-Flex reduces pressure by using a square wave voltage to the motor, thus the voltage drops instantly and raises instantly when it is time to resume the pressure, this results in the motor slowing rapidly and speeding rapidly. Since motors are inductors it's not quite that simply however thats the basics. The motor makes a lot of noise when this happens.
The A-Flex uses a sinusoidal half wave to slow and speed up the motor thus the pressure drop is not so abrupt and the increase in pressure is not so abrupt either - and the motor is much much quieter.
That's essentially what a salesman told me, makes sense...
So for exhalation C-Flex motor voltage looks like: ---- -----
___
A-Flex motor voltage looks like: - -
\ /
\_/
So A-Flex is gradual decrease and gradual increase in pressure due to the voltage gradually decreasing then increasing to the motor.
