xPAP Movie Coming Soon To Theatres Near You!!

Post by busman317 » Tue Apr 05, 2005 7:52 am

Okay, since I am able to dream again my imagination has gone off the charts. I am picturing a movie, more like a science fiction movie or just even a cartoon that involves a character with sleep apnea.

I keep hearing how the xPAP therapy is harmless unless the machine is dropped on the head. Anyway, since there are some very stupid flicks out there now, I am envisioning the following scenarios:

A typical evening, a member of this forum (please insert your favorite member) has just put on their mask feeling comfortable and at ease with the latest information everyone has posted. Next scene...

Spouse sees xPAP victim floating about the room puffed up like a blow fish unaware of their circumstances (extreme bloating), still sleeping, and tethered with their length of hose.

Or a midnight wrestling match with the imaginary boa-constrictor trying to wrap around their body.

Oh, and there is so much more I can add...

Please note: No patients were seriously injured in the dreaming of these scenarios. Any proceeds made with the monies collected from the sale of this cartoon book will be sent to: Sleep Apnea Awareness

Busman,

You are a nut! (and I mean that in the nicest possible way)
And quite creative. Yes, I see your imagination is quite active. But that's a good thing.

Now, if you only knew how to produce a real movie, we could get forum actors (the ones gutsy enough to post their pictures), produce an artsy movie (but of course, intriguing to potential OSA sufferers), get Robert Redford to host it at his film festival, get famous and save the world's OSA sufferers from years of misery........we'd have it made! I suggest Liam as some main character (since he IS a character, and he can also sing!). Maybe Rested Gal or Janelle in some stylish part. SWS or Wader or Mikesus in the narrator role, a la Rod Serling. What do you think?

How's THAT for imagination?

Excellent!! This is what I am talking about. All we need is some plot, humor (well we have plenty of that), and what better than some xPAP music. Not sure what that would be.

People please comment. We can do this. Not really, but fun talking about it.

Hmm. Let's hum a few bars.
To the tune of Oh When the Saints....:

Oh when the air,
Oh when the air,
Oh when the air comes rushing in.
I want to be in my face mask
When the air comes rushing in!

......what do you think?

When the air comes rushing in!

And when my health
And when my health
And when my health comes back to me
I want to throw me one big party
When my health comes back to me.

any better?

Music? We don't need no stinkin' music. Darth Vader breathing ought to be enough for the pickiest movie goer --and more suspenseful, too!
