PM me your images, and I will produce 80x80 images suitable for avatars and PM them back. Yes, I'm serious. Yes, I know how many files I may end up doing. I just think it is a cool idea and I want to help.

I will also try to convert a PERL script I have to do this type of thing easily into a C-language DLL/executable that I can post and folks can be self-service for this. I have it pretty automated already using PERL on Linux cuz at work I'm always having to take different corporate graphics and produce smaller images for web pages to support product demonstrations. But, until I get that delivered, start flooding me with pictures and I will turn them around with 24 hours via PM. ........
Jeff - blindly biased about my children? what makes you ask?

Bullwinkle,

I think it's wonderful, your offer to help with the avatars. That's quite a generous gesture. Wow. I am so impressed, that you would do this. It's amazing the generosity of many of the forum members here. Thanks so much for offering to do this.

Littlebaddow,

I thank you too for your offered help of information to help us computer-challenged forum members. That's terrific. Both of you make me wish I had some decent talent to contribute.

Thank you both, as well others who have offered their help with this and in other areas.

Thanks Linda, but don't oversell my capabilities. I'm a moderately frequent PC user, but won't profess any particular skill, just enough to follow Janelles' useful instructions.

As for your contribution, don't undersell yourself. I'd say your contributions to this forum are thoughful, considered and informative.

Wow. That's probably one of of the nicest compliments I've ever been given. Boy, am I humbled. Thank you so much.

Don't sell yourself short either. Some of your thoughts on this forum have really gotten me thinking. And considering the brain fog I'd been in before November's start of treatment, thinking is a welcomed change. There are a number of wonderful forum members who post often, have great information and help people alot. But I've noticed that many of the people who have posted only a few comments or questions, members and guests alike, have contributed in great ways as well. I think that's the beauty of this forum and its inclusiveness. And it's wonderful learning from people from all over the world. Thanks again.

I never sell myself short. At 6'1", that would be false advertising.

Liam, telling tall tales.

Liam, are you prostituting yourself again by selling yourself, my friend?
How much money do you think you can get?
Enough for dinner?

I gave that up. I managed to make $1000, but do you know how much work it is to earn that at $5 per?

Liam, family sized packaging, bargain pricing.

Work, work, work. Hmm. Judging from the fun you must have had, you might have accepted cheaper!

Ok, I was wrong in that you can't just attach an image to a PM and send it to me. So, if the software I posted about in a different thread doesn't work for you and you want an image converted. PM me and I will give you a link that will open a window to an FTP/web site that I control. You can then drag-and-drop or copy/paste the image from your PC to this window which will allow me to get the file and create your 80x80 images.

Or, I will give you an email address to directly send the image to via your favorite email program.

Sorry if I caused grief or anguish by suggesting something that the board doesn't accept/allow.

Besides, I'm pretty sure that all of us want to know what Liam looks like

Has Liam sent you a photo?
I doubt it.
Ever hear of a snowball's chance in hell?
I figure Liam likes to tease us with verbal imagery only.
But good luck!!!
I'd sure like to see a Liam photo!

I've seen what Liam looks like. He's a handsome guy. I wanted to see what he looked like so I asked him for a pic and he sent me one.

Simple as that....people you just have to ask....the worst thing that can happen is someone will say "no"

The New Guy

Post by Sleepless in New Mexico » Sun Apr 03, 2005 9:14 am

Hi everybody. I just stumbled across this forum as few minutes ago and decided to jump right in! I'm an Electronic Technician repairing the equipment that makes the brains to your computers (unless you use a MAC or one of the none "Inside" computers). That may not make sense to some people.
Anyway, I'm happy to have found a place to hang out and talk about all the nights of good sleep I'm missing until I or one of my doctor's figures out why my cpap didn't fix all my problems.

Sleepless in New Mexico,

Welcome!!
Be sure to tell us all about your experience with sleep apnea and treatment. We're very nosy folks! ...... But seriously, feel free to chime in at any time and even start a topic, if you like. It does help us to know more about your condition, so we can give better advice or just plain old encouragement. Again, welcome!

We do have a lot of Mac users though, myself among them.

Welcome and hope to hear more from you.
