DME in Denver?

Post by dazzlingmd » Tue Mar 13, 2007 4:03 pm

The customer service from my existing DME is terrible. Anyone know of a good one in the Denver area? I'm hoping to switch to someone else. Are those things usually insurance-specific?

Thanks for any leads.

They can be insurance-specific. I use Roth Summit here in Denver with my BCBS program. They've given me an APAP on my Dr's prescription. Send me a PM if you want to know a good sleep doc.

Good luck!

How do you like Roth Summit? I've been using lincare and am very disappointed with them. I also have BCBS and they told me that I have to get my doc to write a letter saying why it is medically NECESSARY for me to have an auto and then they will consider it.

finding a good DME

To find a good DME, you could try asking the lead sleep tech at a hospital sleep center. They may know some of the better DMEs.

I am from CO but I can't help you with your question.

I just wanted to comment, I have been reading many of the posts on this forum over the past couple of weeks. It seems like there are a disporportionatelly large number of Coloradains with apnea issues.

Thanks for everyone's help. I'll see what my insurance supports. I wonder if the thin air in Colorado contributes to this?

Thin air in Colorado

Post by milehighdry » Thu Mar 15, 2007 6:23 am

Since I moved back to Denver from Cheyenne I have noticed that the air has gotten a lot thicker in the past twenty years. With the post nasal drip and sleep apnea - but I really love the climate and community. Excuse my novice. Just joined the site.
