An online place to avoid

Post by JeffH » Tue Mar 06, 2007 11:32 am

Back when I was unable to use my cpap and was awake in the middle of the night I ordered a hose cover from this place. I ordered it a week ago sunday and it STILL hasn't arrived.

directhomemedical.com

Save yourself some trouble and don't use this supplier.

Of course, I've looked since then and CPAP.Com sells them and I didn't even realize it. Goes to show how screwy your thinking can get OFF of CPAP.

More details please...

CC processed? Has the item been shipped? If so, do you have shipper and tracking number?

I ordered a data card from DHM and got it within 2 days. I know that does not prove anything, just wondering if you made contact with DHM.

Jeff,

Try sending them an email. They are very responsive. I've ordered a couple of things from them, and they shipped the same day.
Wake me up when this is over...

It finally arrived today....11 days after it was ordered.

Service at the speed of ??

I did e-mail them and call them. All they could say was it was shipped on this date, nothing more.

Tell us when the item was shipped! Then we can either blame the supplier or the shipper. Ground shipping with any carrier, from one coast to the other, can take at least 5 business days.

I agree 11 days is not acceptable tho.

It was shipped on February 26th from Shirley MA. I live in south central Oklahoma.

Don't forget the HUGE snowstorm that passed through the Midwest at the end of last week! Once something has shipped, it's up to the shipper to get it to you.... (I've had things take a week or two with Priority mail!)

I complained about it taking 11 days and they agreed that that was too long and refunded the $3.75 they charged for shipping. I'll give them a plus for that.

That's very cool.

So they shipped on Monday 2/25 and you just got it this week, less the weekend non-business days that's 9 days... that's still horrible shipping!

Both the orders I've placed with DHM have been handled well. It's too bad you had a shipping problem, but I think they're a perfectly good retailer.

You are probably right.

A hose cover, huh? Relax and take a nap, you probably have more important things not to worry about.

I made my own cover with long socks. No elegant, but free. I think the real problem is with a 6' hose that just gets in the way.

Has anyone found shorter hoses? Or have you modified the length? I'd love to hear.

Thanks, dwilson

There are shorter hoses... just the standard length is 6 foot
