First night on my PAP treatment I dreamed all night long just like I used when I was I kid. I really miss being a kid so I decided to renew my lifestyle by stalking dreams every night and becoming a kid again ... at least while sleep.

Well, I had to come up with something else since the user names "Rested Gal" and "neversleeps" were already taken.....and, because of the OSA, I couldn't very well use "The Energizer Bunny"

Actually, using my last name and "borrowing" ideas from Lon Chaney Jr's character in the movie and also Wolfman Jack's stage name (his birthname was Robert Weston Smith), this became my e-mail and user name in 1996.

My avatar is actually a coyote (aka. "prairie wolf") that I scanned and clipped from a picture I took in Yellowstone Park in 1989 (the year after the fires). It was in October and his coat was nice and fluffy.....and he was very cooperative for my camera.....made for a decent picture. In 1995, the FWS introduced the real wolves from Canada in Yellowstone (not many of them stayed there) and life for the coyotes (and everyone else) hasn't been the same, since.

Any Star Trek fans on the forum? If so, do you remember the minor character on "Deep Space Nine" with the nickname "Moogy"?

Moogy was the mother of the Ferengi bartender. (The Ferengis were the race with the bald heads and VERY large ears.) Her grown children called her Moogy as a pet family name. She was a very uppity female, doing things that were just NOT proper for a Ferengi female, like engaging in commerce and business.

My son called me Moogy instead of Mom for a very short time when he was a pre-teen. About that time I joined the Internet Chess Club (the very best online chess server!) and I chose Moogy as my screen name. I thought it was appropriate since chess has traditionally been a man's game. (Even now, probably 90% of the players on ICC are male, and at tournaments, it is rare for me to meet another adult women, although more girls are now playing.)

So the name stuck.

Moogy

P.S. Sleep apnea can seriously interfere with ones chess play. I remember almost nodding off during a tournament game, some years before I started treatment. Needless to say, I didn't perform very well in that tournament!

Yep, Kate could really belt it out. Number 12 on "Idol" last night,
reminded me of her. But then I don't know why I remember Kate so
clearly, I couldn't have been over 3 at the time. (lol)

This has turned out much better than expected!
Great fun!
And Den, I though that meant a 'den' of wolves,

This is, indeed, the opportunity for some much-needed laffs!

Slinky:

Kate Smith's style of singing the song definitely was not hick but the theme of the song is pretty country. I remember her singing it as a kind of fun group song on her television show. I think her show was called the Kate Smith Show but I'm not sure. I was only about 5 or 6 years old when it was on t.v. but her singing definitely left an impression on me. She could really belt those songs out!!!! I also remember her singing her version of "America, The Beautiful". She was great.

I stayed a weekend at a friends house, in the morning they said it sounded like there was a bear sleeping in the room next to them.

Is this the tater pie song?

I'm lookin' for a gal that cooks.
I don't care much the way she looks.
I'll be hers until I die
If she can make a 'tater pie.
