Fast results but still working out the kinks
Fast results but still working out the kinks
Last night was my sixth night on CPAP. I have always suffered from High Blood pressure. Medicated I stay at 183/78. The past two days I have been light headed all day. Went to my doctor for a BP check, it was 108/62. Now I need to adjust the meds to compensate.
Also, my wife says I do not exhale very deeply which she says looks like I am struggling and working very hard to breath all night. I am set at 9 for pressure and do not feel it is hard for me to exhale against it.
Any thoughts or comments?
The blood pressure drop is great. Hopefully the medication change will quickly allow you to adjust to the new low pressure. Are you feeling uncomfortable using your machine? Are you using a full face mask? What kind of machine are you using? 9 is not a really high pressure, so I would think you are doing pretty good.

My first thought would be: You probably could benefit with
a machine that had C-Flex or EPR. My pressure is the same as yours,
and I use a RemStar Auto w/C-Flex. The settings I use are:
min= 8,
max= 12,
C-Flex= 1,
and HH=1.
Good luck! It sounds like "hoseheadville" may be the place for you.
