It looks like a nice mask and I can imagine, like the nasal masks the # of permutations, when you take mask size into consideration can get you to try out 10 before you've tried the most probable good ones for you.

People screw around with responses but I'd bet most don't. I think when they give bad answers, esp in a multiple choice, the answer they select is obviously bad or a joke. Most people here seem to be pretty serious about this problem we all have in common.

I like my mask the Hans Rudolph Full Face Mask, but I will say and still say not all masks are suitable for everyone. Once you find what you are comfortable with stay with it.

I don't think you can make these generalizations on the Hybrid with the new premium headgear. The thickness, elasticity and stability of the new headgear definitely allow to tighten the lower headstraps more than before and that gives a good seal on the oral/mouth cushion even on thin long faces.

A good friend of mine has a thin long face and he struggled with leaks around the oral cushion on the original Hybrid with the old headgear. He recently got the new premium grey headgear and all his leaks have gone away. He says that it is because he is now able to tighten the lower headstraps a lot more without sacrificing comfort.

Please remember that cost and time on the market are factors too. In my opinion, the Hybrid is not outselling other FF masks because it costs $175 and it has been out on the market only for 6 months or so. I personally had to think twice about buying a mask that cost $175 and was on the market only 6 months.

I am six foot tall, 168 lbs thin with a thin face (but not very thin) and the Hybrid mask works very well for me even with the original headgear.

I think that any mask will work easier on a "fat face". The more fat the easier for the mask to settle in and seal off leaks.

Goodness, I hope that doesn't sound politically incorrect.

I know there are not that many who like or can use my full face mask, but the HR is really comfortable and I do sleep on my side.

Not all masks are for everyone and not everyone can use the same mask as another person.

A good mask that fits and is comfortable is hard to find and that comfort and fit is what makes the treatment of sleep apnea successful.

Does it really matter with this new headgear? The new headgear works so well that it's hard to spring leaks no matter what your face is shaped like.
The old headgear was another story altogether.

The new Hybrid headgear absolutely works! My leaks have completely disappeared.

My readings on the Resmed S8 Vantage with EPR are 95% press 12.4, AHI 1.6, AI 0.0.
