Old Resmed 10 stated make loud noise

Post by Roamer321 » Sat Mar 21, 2026 8:55 am

The machine last night started to make a loud moaning sound it's coming from the tank area. What can I do to troubleshoot or fix it

I don't know exactly but it is probably somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 to 10 years old. I think the problem is the gaskets where the tank mounts with the unit because if it starts to make the noise I can take the tank out and put it back in and it goes away. Are these seals available to purchase?

Is this the part you’re referring to?
click on the two links and compare. the link from Amazon has more than one.

I'm not sure if he's referring to the tank gasket or the gasket inside the machine on the outlet adapter. If he has a new water chamber he could try using that. If the noise doesn't go away with the new chamber then the gasket on the outlet adapter would be suspect.
