Anyone ever order from CPAPUSA?

Post by ejdischer » Fri Feb 09, 2007 11:35 am

I want to order the Soyala Full Face. Cpap.com is looking into getting it for me. By chance if they can't, has anyone ever ordered from Cpapusa. They have the mask for $169 but I'd much rather order it from Cpap.com as I've ordered a few things and they're very good.

Have you called cpap.com? They can probably order it for you and they have a policy of matching other vendor's prices.

I called cpap.com a couple of weeks ago, and was told they didn't know if they were going to carry the Soyala FF.

Just remember two things:

1) CPAP.com are our hosts here.

2) They are generally (and this isn't just butt kissing) one of the best places to deal with, unless things have changed severely since I last ordered any equipment.

Which isn't to say it's wrong to discuss other options if you want to buy something that they don't carry.

But given how good cpap.com is to us, hosting this site and staying pretty much out of our hair, it might be polite not to list a competing retailer in the subject of a thread.

(Not trying to be anal, just polite to our hosts).

Liam, probably not succeeding in not being anal.

I don't think it's wrong to discuss a competitor. And I also think it's not remotely wrong to put a competitor in the subject line, considering that the message specifically stated that "if Cpap.com can't get it for me."

I think it's great that they host this site. But I don't think that means that we should be locked into buying from them. I think they make it easy for us with the 100% price protection and special ordering of products not on their site. But if I didn't find their service adequate, or if I had a big problem with them, I wouldn't think twice about letting some of my fellow CPAPers know about it. Heck, the government provides us with protection and services, but remember that dissent is the highest form of patriotism.

Hmm . . ., half the time compared to what, I wonder. Since CPAP.com ships stuff out the same day, it would seem that any difference in delivery time would be due to shipping. Perhaps one vender is closer to "Guest" than the other, or perhaps there's a difference in which shipper is standard, or perhaps there's a difference in which shipping level comes standard. Or, then again, maybe the statement is just pure BS. More specific info might help identify which of these, or another possibility is true.

Regards,
Bill

I should probably follow this up with some info from one of my other posts here.

Brian from CPAP.com told me the Soyala FF mask will be up on the website by Monday 2/12. He is unsure of the price but seeing that they'll pricematch and CPAPUSA has it for $169 I'm imagining the price will be around that if not less. So that wraps up the deal with CPAPUSA, seeing that as of Monday we'll be able to get it from our gracious hosts.

Brian also said while it will be on the website by Monday, it will be in the warehouse and shipping by Thursday or Friday.
