encore pro for old mseries resipronics

Post by akramabed » Fri Jun 13, 2025 7:51 am

HI, i gave up on cpap therapy few years ago but restarted last month using my old cpap resipronics m-series, yes still working to my surprise!!
I used to check my data using old encore pro and used James Skinner Analyzer, I have lost these programs unfortunately. I tried the newer version from apneaboard but it deletes data after each download despite un-checking the delete data option! The old version does not do that. Any chance soemone has that old software and JSkinner software ? it was very nice.
Oscar does not work for my device as I learned because the memory card and data files are different not SD.
Thanks.

For those of you not familiar with the Respironics M series machines. (note they were NOT included in the Foamgate recall as it was only the System One and later models.)

It uses a Smart Card for data collection and sort of storage. This isn't like a SD card. It's more the size of a credit card but if I remember correctly it must be downloaded at least once a week because it doesn't store the data indefinitely.

I have used Encore Pro with Skinner's tool but it has been years and years since I have and the computer it is on is 2 computers ago and won't power on at all now. So I am of zero help here.

Try apneaboard.com. You will have to create a free account.

Thanks, but as I mentioned in my post, Apneaboard has only version 2 that deletes data. It is nice to see someone here who remembers this old stuff and Jskinner
Analyzer. I hope he is doing well.
My data smart card stopped working today and is no longer recognized by machine or reader despite trying reinserting, cleaning , etc..
So I need to find another card. For those who had the M series and moved to other machines, did you notice tangible difference and therapy improvement? My AHI is around 5 (A =2, H=3)

You would enjoy a new machine - ResMed AirSense 10 (or 11) AutoSet. SleepHQ.com is a free, easy and good analysis tool.

I helped jskinner debug his program years ago and still have an old email address. I don't know whether he still uses it. I did run into him 13 years ago and he gave me the url for a website (www.valleyevents.ca) he created. The site is still active and you can contact him through it. Sorry, but I no longer have a copy of the program.
