Hey,
remember when the 30i was introduced we wondered if they eventually would make a model with pillows replacing the nasal slots?

Looks interesting but I don't know if I will be trying it for just for grins. I will think on it while waiting for it to be available in the US.
I have had horrible luck with all the "i" models with the hose attaching at the top and the side frames full of air.
Just too noisy for my preference so I don't know if I want to risk wasting that much money and I am out of FSA funds to burn. I really didn't like any of them.
Hubby's diabetes pills aren't covered by insurance so we have been paying $282 a month and then last week we had to get new glasses for him. So I pretty much depleted the FSA account until we can build it back up.
I know there is the free return thing but I feel like I would be abusing it and I don't like doing that.
Remember my number one preference......nothing on my face and head. This new mask certainly won't qualify in that regard.

As for needing a FFM if I had a cold or flu.....it's been over 15 years and while I have had a handful of colds there hasn't been a time where I couldn't use just a nasal mask of some sort. Never just had to use a FFM which is good I guess since I don't own one. I have tried a handful over the years just to be trying but I always just gave them away because I never have used (nor likely to use) one.

That actually looks like a solid option for folks who can't keep their mouth closed at night but don’t want to deal with chin straps.

I won't be testing this one at anywhere near that price.
Now it is reduced a bit by using Promo code MEMORIALDAY for a 25% discount but even at $187 I am not interested plus watch out...looks like taxes are being added and there's some automatic charge for "loss protection" (which I don't know what or why that is happening now). You can remove that "loss protection" charge though....a little over 5 bucks I think it was.
Unable to use insurance since I just got set up with Aeroflow to file insurance and just got 3 months worth of Eclipse a couple of weeks ago. Plus I got a $400 deductible for cpap/DME stuff I have to meet before insurance pays a dime.
Note to self....Automatically adding that little "loss protection" charge at check out is a deal breaker for me.
Even if it can be removed it pisses me off.

It is NOT mask return insurance....it's protection if the shipment gets lost....or at least that is what I can figure out at this time. I need to research it more as to what it actually does but not giving me an option and instead just taking it on during check out is a deal breaker for me.

My Medicare Advantage allows for a new mask every three months. Will wait.

For what it is worth the mask was introduced into Canada at $240 CAD. I have one being delivered on Tuesday so will see how it is. Have not had any luck with controlling AHI with a full face mask so hopefully this being a nasal pillow type which I currently use( P30i) will be better. I loved everything about the F40 except the fact my AHI quadrupled and more for no apparent reasons.
