Weird, but just may be, me or there is some truth to this? About two months ago started smelling an electric burning smell in the house. Got an electrician in. Got the AC people in. They couldn't find or smell anything. Is it my myasthenia gravis or something else? (Neurologist never heard of this related to an immune disease.) Started smelling it outside as well, and in the car(so definitely not just the house) and also noticed, brought on by a runny nose and stress? Something then dawned on me. I have been using nasal pillows for a year, the only mask that really works for me without blowing a stream of air into my eyes. Anyway, decided to not use my machine for a few nights plus cut back on using it all night and its gone!! That awful smell. Just been getting bad headaches recently.
I used to love my sleep and could do so easily, but snored a lot and they found out I had bad sleep apnoea, but it just so happens I started to have sleep difficulties about a month after first using my machine. Co-incidence? So I'm going to now try to use it less, say a few hours a night, and see what happens. Wear a chin strap and not breathing through the mouth anymore, sort of trained myself not to and that was part of the issue, hence loud snoring. But anyone else heard of or had this condition, whereby nasal olfactory functions could be impaired due to prolonged usage?
