So I've been using a Resmed S9 (I'm not sure the exact model) for years, and almost a year ago now have started getting the message "Motor life exceeded. Something something replace the machine something."
I'm like, fine, but when I got this one, the lung doc gave the store technician the info to input into it so it fits my needs. Now the doc is unavailable, I'm on some sort of waiting list for whenever he gets an opening and who knows how long that's going to take.
So basically I need a new machine but how do I get my settings into it?

Welcome! You can program in the settings yourself once you get your new machine. Also, be aware that while your current machine might conk out tomorrow, it could also keep running for months or even years.
The S9 series has been discontinued. Could you check and let us know what specific S9 you have now? That way maybe we can suggest what current machine would work well for you.
Because the S9 series has been discontinued, you will need a new prescription for your new machine. In the U.S., it's possible you could get that from your primary care physician, a nurse practitioner, or your dentist. That might save you some time. So if we can figure out what current machine would work best for you, you might ask someone other than your lung doctor for a prescription.

I'm in Canada, so things are difficult here, but at least since you've informed me it's possible to program it myself, I can get a used one!
The CPAP is a Resmed S9 Autoset and there's also the mention EPR on the same part where it says "autoset" and there's the on/off button.

The first instruction in this video shows you how to view your machine's settings - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ixeQpfX_WWU
If you buy a used machine, make sure it is a ResMed AutoSet. I recommend the ResMed AS10 AutoSet. Check the run hours before purchasing.
Keep your S9 as a backup. Use it for a night once per quarter to make sure it still works. It's important to keep a backup.
